I want to take technology forward on the path of progress: Palak
Expressing his determination to take technology forward on the path of progress, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, "We want to make Bangladesh a dignified place in the world under the leadership of People's Leader Sheikh Hasina by establishing a non-communal progressive Bangladesh of Bangabandhu's dream."
He made the remarks at an exchange of views after the screening of Bangladesh's first full-length animated film 'Mujib Amar Pita' based on 'Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita' written by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Bombay Theater auditorium in New York on Sunday night.
At this time, Palak said, "Through this film, we have tried to show the potential of our youth in the animation industry. We hope that Bangladeshi animators will work in the $200 million animation market in the world. Because, we have Oscar winner Nafis Iqbal, Kungfu Panda’s Dipta Bhai. We have children like Sadat who have won peace award.”
Minister for Liberation War Affairs AQM Mozammel Haque, Members of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Nurul Amin Ruhul, Aparajita Haque and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations Raba Fatema were present on the occasion.
At the end of the 48-minute screening, the copyright of the animated film was made public. At the same time, the ICT Minister urged the IP TVs to broadcast it in any part of the world, including the United States.
